If this government is serious about affordability, reconciliation, and climate leadership, it must stop serving fossil fuel giants.

The federal government’s fossil fuel push fails Canadians on affordability, climate, and reconciliation.

Alongside other ENGOs we’ve proposed a definition of “national interest” and criteria that ensure designated projects deliver long-term benefits to Canadians.

📣Urge your MP to back this proposal before it’s too late:
Demand a climate-safe definition of “national interest”
Bill C-5 gives Cabinet power to fast-track projects they designate as serving “national interest”. But “national interest” is not defined in the legislation.

🔥 Canada’s wildfire crisis isn’t just about climate change.

Pesticides like glyphosate turn forests into tinderboxes.

PFAS in firefighting foams poison water, soil & our bodies — and the firefighters protecting us.

Read how toxic chemicals are fuelling this crisis:
Pesticides, PFAS, and smoke: How toxic pollution fuels wildfires
Wildfires are not just a climate issue. Toxic “forever chemicals” used in firefighting, and pesticides used in forestry are making them worse.
