First day in months that I've actually felt like cooking. Throwing wilting veggies into a crockpot with cheeses and a metric ton of garlic and canned tomatoes never fails

OC Time!! These are my babies Lucid Elzwar and Lickety Split

Lucid is a teenage runaway (of sorts) and self-proclaimed Living Nightmare hunter. Lickety Split is the only known sentient Living Nightmare.

Hijinks (and a lot of murder) ensue.
In a dark forest clearing, a pink-haired girl with a roman nose and beat up armor stands with her hand on one hip, jaw set with quiet rage as she jabs her finger in the face of the monster in front of her. The monster, a three meter tall gangly black figure with a long neck like corrugated plastic tubing, grins back from his flat, mask-like face. His limbs and fingernails are far, far too long, his legs digitigrade, his abdomen hidden under a thick, luscious fur coat of lilac-white and green spots. He jabs one finger back mockingly, the dirt and blood stained fingernail tapping against the girl's armored chest.

Dinner last night! I wanted pizza so bad. I made a healthy thing instead. That's so great for me... sigh.

Finally getting the hang of drawing my new OC, Hunter

A cute but morose-looking boy with elf-like ears, plus bunny ears, and black wings. He wears a simple monotone floral button up shirt over a dark brown binder. His eyes are a muted red, and he has freckles on his cheeks and ears. The details around him indicate that he wears bandages on his hands, a brown and gold watch, and a simple pendant necklace which is only an oblong silver rectangle on a black cord. Japanese 'hamburg' style beef patty with parmesan-topped, ponzu-marinated zucchini (plucked fresh from the garden!), and some arugula on the side.

This is possibly my new favorite recipe, it is SO damn delicious

A small blue dish with arugula, thinly sliced zucchini, and a hefty beef patty. The beef patty is slathered in a dark sauce with caramalized onion bits, and topped with a dusting of parmesan cheese. The zucchini slices are stacked in alternating green and yellow slices, and has been broiled on top, melting the cheese and gently browning the edges of each slice. Some of the ponzu marinade has been drizzled over the argula like a thin dressing.

I'm so angry and confused and depressed. Like, literally, why?? I put a little passive aggressive fence around the rest of it - not that I think my neighbor can see it through his mildew-infested peonies... 😭😑

A very small and dainty white wire fence has been pushed into the ground around the remaining half of the sapling. On the property line, a dozen peonies coated in powdery mildew reach through the chain link fence.

My neighbor has a lovely big apple tree, and an apple sapling has been growing on our side of the fence for the past year - I think from a fallen apple.

Anyway my neighbor reached over my fence yesterday and cut it in half 🫠

Cabbage, bok choi, romaine lettuce, radishes, arugula/rocket, and experimental watermelon planted. Not great hope for that last one but I figured it's worth a try.

I also planted a seed potato (yukon gold from the grocery store) and trimmed the pumpkins.

Zucchini plants are thinned out and repotted, tomatoes are pruned (as best as I know how!). I put some extra support in for the peas in the greenhouse where the corn grew in late. I have more tomato seedlings to thin and repot, and I think I might start some cabbage soon!!
