Something beyond the window has caught his attention – maybe the fake rain on the glass or the mood lightning flashing through cracks in the room; or maybe the mako ghosts floating under the moon, booing and wooing at kids – and he jerks around when Barret kicks an ornate chest of drawers.

Shrina couldn't be bothered to suck all that out instead of whatever's making him go insane? Forget it, Cloud went insane the moment he signed up for the SOLDIER trials. That's gotta be why all these black-robed guys are going through that cellular degradation whatsit – there just ain't a single sane thought keeping them together anymore.
