A wee space for miniatures. Hopelessly jumping projects… currently battle of Dorking 28mm, Eldar and Inquisitorial 3rd edition armies (with the kids!), First Age Middle Earth (also with the kids) and 6mm Sengoku Jidai
Progress is still painfully slow, but after this week work will quieten down and I can spend some evenings painting. Now, do I ask for a brigade of Bavarians for Christmas…?

Progress is glacial at the moment, work and life are so busy, but these AB Napoleonic miniatures are a pure joy to paint. I’m putting myself under no pressure and in little 15 minute bursts every strap and cord will get painted. Peninsular Brits are a forgiving bunch in terms of uniform too.

Underpainting done. Being driven purely by history… the South Essex and the 13th light dragoons (complete with the imagined arrival of ensign Wickham). The other two battalions in the infantry brigade are highlanders. Any potential literary characters of this division missing?

Well they arrived… holy smokes, AB minis are beautiful. Going to go for 6s in bases for infantry. Now to get painting!

A couple of brigades and a smattering of supporting elements almost ready for battle (we need another command stand and ten more cavalry - but it’s a start)… now to invent a name for this minor German kingdom?

Shout out to Caliver Books who got this to me in 24 hours after ordering… not that I was in a rush but I wasn’t expecting it until later next week, a rather pleasant surprise.

After a mad month at work, I finally got round to more of the 10mm imaginations. Now it’s the summer holiday I hope to get a bit of a move on with the project.

Delighted with these chaps, some brigadiers to lead the infantry. They’ll get a wash of ‘old’ reikland fleshshade and then some static grass. One more battalion of infantry and then the opposing sides may have a parade.
