But now it seems unlikely that we'll have my biggest worry scenario: "last surviving elder is left lonely because all the young ones refuse to be friends with him." It's looking like even if Bucket and Sharky don't fully cooperate, Toffee would be okay living with the last old rat, whichever he is.

Chiki, who is pretty feeble and was Bucket and Sharky's favorite victim before, has been excused from ratmoots with those two for now....
He got to meet Toffee tonight though! They were perfectly civil to each other. I'm relieved. Getting Bucket and Sharky to accept him might still be a challenge.

Chiki, who is pretty feeble and was Bucket and Sharky's favorite victim before, has been excused from ratmoots with those two for now....
He got to meet Toffee tonight though! They were perfectly civil to each other. I'm relieved. Getting Bucket and Sharky to accept him might still be a challenge.

Sharky has not been out with the old guys again yet. I'm hoping his brothers will convince him that the elders aren't a threat. But I want to get Bucket onto Team Friendship before adding Sharky back to the ratmoots, for the best chance of effective peer pressure.

Bucket... is still a jerk. Though hormone blocking and/or prozac have made a clear difference. He still starts shit, but he hasn't bitten anyone.
He's been spending more time ignoring the old guys and less time on macho posturing and fights, so I'm hopeful again that he'll accept them. Eventually.
