I disagree! Nintendo is in a very different place in this post BotW/SMO/ACNH era than it was when the WiiU launched. It’ll probably sell less than the Switch, yes, but it won’t go the way of the WiiU.

Cloud gaming is already a thing, but the fact that you don’t know about it speaks volumes about how popular it is. I also don’t understand why you would target the cloud with a handheld.

What do you mean by “apps”? Every gaming device already has an online software store with more than just games.

I think the golden era of handheld gaming has already passed. These new devices aren’t pocketable, 4X the cost of old handhelds, and the mass market appeal just isn’t there now that phones are a thing.

The days where everyone had a (3)DS in their bag are never coming back, and it makes me sad.

I don’t think that’s necessarily a good thing. When a major hit like that drops other studios often try to unsuccessfully emulate what they think made that game popular, while lacking the same attention to detail.

I don’t like thinking about that future but you’re right. Remember we cringed when smartphones started touching that magical $1000 line, and now it’s the norm for “pro” models.

How does a PRO console not have such an obvious feature as a disc drive included? My OG PS5 is starting to feel like the pro model here with its disc drive, included vertical stand, and the most USB ports out of all the lineup.

I mostly purchase games digitally, but I still bought the disc version so I can play my PS4 games as well.
