Why did my second batch of kueh shaker "grew" a size bigger? 😭😅
Some of my images were created in RGB in the past, and I have learned better to now work in CMYK for printing purposes.
But sigh*, the printer's proof I received was so unacceptable. I am hoping converting it to PDF/X-4 myself (as the colours are what I want) will fix this though...

I would like to think the book is at least 95% done. There are still plenty of stuff I need to iron out, though it is slowly inching towards the finishing line!
Stressful and nerve-wrecking, but also very fulfilling to see my work reaching fruition. ☺️

Finally! 88 kueh illustrations, completed~! I wrapped it up with the Hokkien Tee nya/Kee ya kueh.
There's more work left to be done, such as the book formatting, glossary, etc but now I can truly say that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the completion of this book. 😁

Finally! 88 kueh illustrations, completed~! I wrapped it up with the Hokkien Tee nya/Kee ya kueh.
There's more work left to be done, such as the book formatting, glossary, etc but now I can truly say that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the completion of this book. 😁

Visited the other KOI branch that was running the R1999 campaign in Singapore yesterday, and the collab gifts were all fully redeemed!? The staff told me I can still buy the drink and get the limited paper bag though 😂
It's a bummer, but it's nice to know that there is a growing fan base here~

The hardest and most time-consuming part for me with these kueh entries are always the comic planning (and execution) phase. 😂
Sometimes I would need to rack my brain real hard to think of what to draw, and the outcome may end up like this unplanned 2-parter...
