idk why so many players AND blizzard alike have this idea that faction conflict = BFA level of war and bloodshed

the factions can just…. Have different interests and cultures they want to maintain? maybe at odds with the other factions interest? it’s not all or nothing

anyway, this was a whole lot of words saying nothing new or meaningful over a pegi 13 kids game, i'm crawling back under my rock with a cup of tea now

And honestly I think a big part of the reason is it's likely a large portion of the WoW player base simply is not interested to the same degree (which i get!)

A patch rebuilding areas or dealing with simmering tensions isn't interesting to someone who thinks about this game a normal amount lmao

it's so frustrating to have these pivotal moments and then there be 0 meaningful payoff.

Silvermoon's mixed hostility in Midnight is a great way to show how people just can't stand each other sometimes while not having people kick puppies every 5 mins to reinforce it

my husband and I were joking the other day how the forsaken were due to go quiet for a while and then start acting up again in a couple of expacs from now, all the while the Horde pats their head and they see no interfaction conflict over these crazy outbursts

it's not a new Blizzard thing. I can think of multiple examples of this - the wrathgate, theramore, the purging of dalaran just to name a few

there feels like there's so little attention to detail on what happens AFTER these terrible events

i know i might be in the minority but I don't actually hate the teldrassil plot! what I hate is, instead of focusing on the outcome of that terrible action, there was, as there always is, this deficit of attention to what happened in the last relative 5 mins on azeroth

Enough has already happened in WoW to feed these stories for like, multiple expacs

We didn't NEED brennadam, we didn't NEED all the extra cartoonishly evil stuff that the horde did in Kul Tiras. Teldrassil was already more than enough to sustain the plot
