I really hate how hard it is to explain how broken the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) is. In short:
- the PBS is broken
- most medications are not covered
- people are going without or rationing medications
- people are dying

Serious question please: while I appreciate the trend towards saying what country you are on in meetings etc, what is the correct/best thing to do when your country is disputed? Aside from the obviously problematic “Anaiwan, unless it turns out to be Kamilaroi, Dhunghutti, Narabal or Gumbaynggirr.”

There is nothing more indicative of insane privilege than politicians demanding action on the distressing thing they see on their TV, and describing what is on TV as the most important issue for their constituents.

I cannot express enough that if public agencies don’t want to receive endless OIA requests which they deem “fishing expeditions” then they need to at least try to answer a simple question without saying “this needs to go under OIA”. Like sorry but you cannot have it both ways sir
