Texas officials were warned by NWS at 1:14am and chose to post the warning on social media at 5:16am (as if the campers were on social media at 5:16am) instead of driving/flying to check on/notify those who may have been in danger. This was an avoidable tragedy.

My grandfather Anson, US Army WWI. My father William USAF, part of the Allied Forces at Nagasaki, who died of cancer at the age of 39, leaving my mom with three children under the age of 10. My brother Jim, USAF, who died of mesothelioma after a 20 year career with the Air Force.
