And then trans mascs are told they don't suffer as much. Even their discrimination is erased by their own community.

i want a silly day. we deserve a silly day.

And I cherish in return. I am SO lucky to be in the company I keep now. I wish that for everyone else.

The best part was going to an event, looking around the room and thinking "I'm not happy here. I am not valued here. I am leaving."

Then sliding into a zoom meeting the next day with my crew and every single one of them said "they don't deserve you. Stay here, with us, instead."

I felt cherished.

We're not in competition with each other, we're helping each other. Hands up, ladders down, questions answered, celebrating every win with each other.

And it didn't take much. Just me picking up the phone. Now I'm on calls every week with other creators just like me.

Life is unkind, but we don't have to be. Life is unfair, but we don't have to rip apart the people around us trying to help us find a path.

Now I spend my days creating amazing fulfilling things with other people of ALL stripes; I feel welcome; my expertise is honoured, and I am learning tons too.

I am grateful for a friend turning to me and saying "you need to focus on you." And another friend saying "what are these people doing except trying to destroy you because they can't handle the harshness of reality? That life will never be fair or kind, but they must find a way through regardless?"
