I'm double screening purely for emotional distance at this point. (My mum died over a decade ago, but that song gets me ❤️🗡️)

Basically a *large* adult sized person having a total meltdown at seemingly the emotional level of a toddler. It would be so dangerous on a plane. Still, I felt so awful for him and them. The disappointment on their faces.

Find someone who looks at you the way Jamie Bell looks at Taron Egerton when he writes the melody for Your Song. Or Richard Madden when he sings Crocodile Rock. Come to think of it, it's a lot of looking admiringly at Taron Egerton. *sighs and faints*
They are all amazing.

Just spent the morning listening to his voice in a guide! Feel extra good about it now.

(I have a close trans family member. I try not to be antagonistic about it, but also I do have a quiet word now and then. I understand affection for things people have loved for 20 years though)

On the one hand, I'm sure people in disasters have died unable to outrun it (wildfires in Aust) and people project to that case. On the other, I work in traffic mgmt and limiting speed slightly generally speeds everyone up overall, let alone the safety implications.

I'm flying from Brisbane - probably be too jet-lagged and at a slight risk of not making it if delayed, alas. Otherwise...

It's nice you have that buffer. I'm in Australia and walked into the mall on Nov 1 to find it decorated for Christmas.
I think it gets more serious in December (carollers etc) but still, they are trying.

Today a random woman at the next table at a Café complimented my parenting and my kid's imagination as she left. I'm going to try to replay that tonight instead. 🥰

It's so bad - I die little when I visit my in-laws, and try to ensure my kids don't accidentally consume any.
Thankfully FIL has gone from being 'so deaf he turns the volume waaay up' to 'so deaf he uses headphones' 😕
