The lights go off at the end of an astonishing career even more for his recovery and steadfast refusal to bow to the power of his illness. I salute the fabulous Edwyn Collins and his equally fabulous partner, Grace Maxwell.

@fifisays.bsky.social - I accept that you did not want replies but I take issue with the last point in particular. How is that antisemitic. Many people of Jewish heritage have made this painful comparison. Why exactly is it antisemitic if the actions of Israel are condemned as genocide by intl orgs.

Looks like I have to send out a rapist supporter alert here since you have nothing much to contribute. Keep fighting the bad fight.

Proscribed organisations guilty of real terrorist action in Britain and able to fly support flags on council property in Northern Ireland. Government action to stop this and mass arrest hundreds of people? Strangely missing.

Pompeii serves up the oddest images. The inset, molded penis in a house wall means what exactly? I think I know.

Went to see Wilko at Southwark Playhouse yesterday. Cracking story even if you know how it starts and ends. Very decent musical performances by the cast as the Feelgoods. Get along to see it. Ends 19th April 2025.

German theme today. Currywurst sausage followed on from a brief visit to the Mercedes-Benz museum preceded by a tour of the cult German house-maker Huf Haus. Only the sausages are in my price league.
