Gotan Project was one of the CDs in my high school art teacher's rotation for class work time circa the mid-2000s in Minnesota. I think this is the first time I've ever heard someone removed from that context mention them 😅

Complete opposite here. I *almost always* know I'm dreaming, let my subconscious lead it wherever, and love light sleep dreaming cause they're the easiest to remember in detail when I get back to the waking world 😅
