The legislation the House and Senate Republicans just voted on will have your tax dollars go to corrupt politicians conspiring to overturn an election. The corruption is staggering. Your healthcare costs, household expenses, & ability to make ends meet go up while Republicans enrich themselves.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Trump is 30 points underwater. Dems swept the special elections. People know the GOP is responsible for the shutdown. So the Dem Senators pulled out their big guns... and shot themselves in the foot.

Dear Democratic Senators: if you vote for this selling out of the ACA it will be the end of your careers. Depend upon it. You are there to defend this country against Trump and the fascists, not collude with them. If you become Quislings, you will forever REMAIN Quislings

Hey fellow Mainers. Make sure you read Question1. And then vote NO
Did you know a question will be on your ballot this year that could completely upend absentee voting and restrict early voting? Join the weekend of action on October 4 and 5 to encourage Mainers to vote NO on Question 1.

It's this simple: the GOP controls the White House + Congress. They could pass a clean CR that keeps the government open. They would rather slash health benefits for working class families. Trump and the GOP are holding sick Americans hostage. Democrats refuse to abandon sick Americans. That's it.

House Democratic leaders: The Trump/GOP "war on the First Amendment is blatantly inconsistent with American values." Also: FCC chair Brendan Carr "engaged in a corrupt abuse of power" and "should resign immediately." And: House Dems will investigate what may be "a corrupt pay-to-play scheme."

Get fierce!
Fox News host, Brian Kilmeade, calls for the extermination of homeless people. But it’s the liberals that are stoking political violence?!

They’re trying to silence the truth-tellers. Don’t let them. Loudly and relentlessly call out their hypocrisy.

Be mad. Be outraged. Demand accountability.

Thanks ACLU ME!
For 35 years, the ADA has been critical for voters with disabilities. In Maine, we also have ongoing absentee voting so people with disabilities can access the ballot box.

Our job now is to ensure we fight to fulfill the ADA's promises and vote NO on this fall's referendum to upend absentee voting.
Accessible Voting is Under Attack 35 Years After the ADA
From restrictive legislation to inaccessible polling places, barriers persist that undermine the rights of voters with disabilities.

DOJ should use its resources to ensure people can exercise their voting rights – not intimidate states and fuel false narratives that sow doubt about elections.

Maine elections are safe, secure, and accessible, and that’s why Maine consistently has some of the highest turnout.
Maine is denying the U.S. Department of Justice access to its voter registration records, state officials said Tuesday, rejecting an unprecedented request for sensitive voter data that the Trump administration has delivered to all 50 states.

Fascinating. And good to know given the heinous coverage of Mamdani
My mom and stepdad are from the same diaspora group as Zohran Mamdani’s dad (same like “my stepdad was kicked out of the same town and knows some of his classmates”) and apparently the New York Times doesn’t understand how diaspora works, so I am going to tell you a little about my mom’s people!
