If the goal of ‘DOGE’ were truly to expose corruption and save taxpayer money it wouldn’t have been preceded by the unlawful firing of 18 Inspectors General whose job it is to expose corruption and save taxpayer money.

You wouldn't dismantle the agency that protects consumers for corporate abuse and scams unless you wanted your rich buddies to be able to abuse and scam consumers.

In my world, “the talk” is what Black parents have w/our kids, about how to survive an encounter w/police who see them as a threat because of our skin color.

Latino families have their talk, w/kids even younger, about ICE who see them as criminals: “If we disappear…”

Amidst all the chatter I think it’s important to clarify that they’re not attacking DEI because performance or qualification standards of any kind are actually being lowered (they’re not), they’re attacking DEI because they are racist and sexist.

Breathe. Embrace your free time. Pour into your community. Respect what you can't control. Reject nihilism. Remember pace and perspective. Burnout is the enemy and helps no one, least of all yourself, and should be stridently avoided. That's the only way we're gonna get through this. And we will.
