BOY,IS IT!
@traceybaptiste.bsky.social is a staple in my work and home libraries! Coal is framed on my gallery wall in my office and I keep at least 2 other Baptiste books in my office to lend out.
I cannot wait for Boy 2.0.2 (?)!

A World Worth Saving by @kylelukoff.bsky.social prompted so many questions & clarifications, sadness & righteous anger, desire to “do something,” & dismay over seemingly easy dismissals. Peeling away layers of mythos & mystery, we spoke of the human condition laid bare on the page & we felt hope.

Lola by @karlavalenti.bsky.social is such a work of brilliance. My kiddos were full of awe & accusations & wonder at the magic possible from shifting one’s perspective. They described it as “beautiful & gut wrenching.” We spoke of grief & darkness & new beginnings & the awesome power of prose. 🥰
