Going to visit friends in Fukuoka on Friday. They said, it's cold so be prepared 😂 ok, sure. Forecast is for 10°. I think we'll be fine, but I am bringing a light jacket.

I brought them, but didn't use them this time. The snow was just a bit more than in town and to cross rivers is then more difficult with snowshoes, but I probably will next time.

I didn't yesterday, but I'll try again in a couple weeks I think. It's very peaceful to be out there alone in nature's quiet, as you well know. So, still worth it 😄

Yeah, yesterday I used a share car. In the mountains, lots of snow yet. While the roads were ice and snow pack going in, they were mostly slushy on the way out. I'm sure last night's rain probably also washed away a lot of the snow cover.

⬆️right is deer, a bit hard to see but there are the hoove imprints. Must have been dragging its feet a bit

Good on you Rick. Just to point on though that everyone is half MY age, they are 1/3 of your age if you are 60. 😉 In the room I was in there were probably 120 or so people. I think I saw 4 others besides myself that might have been in their 40's or older.
