A morning of ticket wrangling ahead of a busy weekend! I'm off to Broadcasting House this afternoon to chat about some stonking New Releases on Radio 3 at 2.15... and then to Oxford where, I'll be talking all about Dichterliebe tomorrow for @oxfordsong.bsky.social Bring on the train picnics!

It's @wigmore-hall.org.uk time again today! I'm on my way to host this afternoon's Side by Side concert with students from the Royal Academy of Music, and then chat to a stellar line-up of composers before tonight's Nash Ensemble concerts.

When Tr@*&p got elected, I looked up the most banned US books and started reading. These guys were all bought 2nd-hand and are now going to an amazing Florida charity which will get them to people who need these stories in all their mad, sad, beautiful complexity. It's not much. But it's something.

The Italian Duck Odyssey is over... But the Southend Monday morning dog walk has therefore recommenced. And it was a beautiful happy thing.
