I shall be posting about TV and music from the first 18 years of my life, which coincides with the era in which K-tel released their budget LPs in the UK: 1972 to 1990.
Hot Metal (1986-88) is a British sitcom by David Renwick & Andrew Marshall, produced by LWT.

Robert Hardy is media magnate Terence "Twiggy" Rathbone and Geoffrey Palmer played editor Harry Stringer. In series 2, Stringer was replaced by former daytime chat show host Richard Lipton (Richard Wilson).

Chaim Topol (Sep 1935 – Mar 8, 2023) was an Israeli actor and singer best known for his portrayal of Tevye, the lead role in the stage musical Fiddler on the Roof and the 1971 film adaptation.

Here he is depicted as Dr Hans Zarkov in Flash Gordon (1980).

Windsor Davies (August 28, 1930 – January 17, 2019) is best remembered for playing Sgt Maj Williams in the sitcom It Ain't Half Hot Mum (1974–1981). Davies and his co-star Don Estelle had a UK number-one hit with a version of "Whispering Grass" in 1975.
