I think it may be generational with older generations more likely to respond and giving a why if it's a no. I also think how well you know the person is a factor. Those closer to the inviter would be more likely to give a reason if responding no.

This is awful. The current administration hopes to dismantle FEMA, so where does that leave these Americans?
