If you missed the @progresstoronto.bsky.social rally today to protect our right to protest in Toronto please sign the petition against a bylaw that's clearly targeting protests calling for a ceasefire in Gaza & other human rights issues☮️ The city must guarantee our right to peaceful assembly🕊️

At the Rally for Justice organised by @cycletoronto.bsky.social before the court challenge with @ecojusticecanada.bsky.social & others who don't want Ford ripping out bike lanes, speakers said we need a livable city where we can ride safely. Little traffic & lots of room for bike lanes on University

Some pretty smart kids at the @kidicalmassto.bsky.social rally to save TO bike lanes today. Premier DoFo must listen to them & stop bullying cyclists & putting lives at risk to appease drivers who won't get anywhere faster without bike lanes @cycletoronto.bsky.social

Today, 5 April, is prominent Danish-Bahraini human rights defender Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja’s 64th birthday. He's spent the last 14 years - more than 5000 days - arbitrarily detained for calling for human rights, equality & dignity in #Bahrain. #FreeAlKhawaja now! @maryamalkhawaja.bsky.social

Pretty good turnout in rainy Toronto/Tkaronto for the Land Day (Yom Al-Ard) protest in defense of the rights of Palestinians to live freely on their land. 80+ groups endorsed the protest including @world-beyond-war.bsky.social, @ijvcanada.bsky.social, PYM, Healthcare Workers Alliance for Palestine

Good to see 150 cyclists ride on a rainy night to protest DoFo's plan to rip out our beautiful bike lanes. Lots of good things we could do with $84 million instead of destruction that will increase collisions by 54% & won't even ease congestion @cycletoronto.bsky.social @thebikinglawyer.bsky.social

Protest today in Toronto in solidarity with the No to executions in #Iran protests on the last Tuesday of the month, which started in Iran's prisons in January 2024 #WomanLifeFreedom #notoexecutions

Pretty symbolic to have the evil queen watching over the protest in Toronto calling for a #CeasefireNow, an end to the blockade of Gaza and the starvation and murder of kids, and a 2-way arms embargo between Canada and Israel ☮️✌️🕊️🍉

The US-Canada trade war provides an opportunity to reexamine the toxic legacy of Alberta's oil sands, which exports most of its bitumen to the US. Thanks to director @brandimorin.bsky.social for a powerful examination of environmental racism & violations of indigenous rights that plague this country

We went to Queen's Park to ask the Premier (if he gets re-elected) to break his silence on mercury poisoning in Grassy Narrows. Shame on Ford @ontariopcparty.bsky.social for continuing to ignore people from Grassy Narrows who travel so far #FreeGrassy
