Edmonton folks, I continue to clear out books. Please DM if any of the below jumps out to you, and I can drop them off. Free books are best books :)

#Cyanotype day. Teeny tiny people in test prints, and if they go well a larger image perhaps.

I am ridiculously happy about this silly walrus finally working out in cyanotype. Sneak peak for next week's show 'Blue' at McMullen Gallery, Edmonton. A show to pause and rest within, I hope. Something very needed.

Watercolour work in progress at the yegartwalk today. Golden midnight sun on Svalbard.

I’ve been going through images and thoughts from the Arctic Circle residency. It was an incredible trip, and a privilege to spend time in such a beautiful, fragile space, with so many other wonderful humans. Especially right niw, the focus on simply being, and making in that landscape was a gift.

I did not think I would see the northern lights this trip; it will be midnight sun 3 days after arrival to Svalbard. But, the plane was juuuust south enough on the way to Oslo to see these through the night. Magical. (Also my phone, as I did not have the right lens easy to grab. Oops.)

The small versions this week came out well, so scaling up a bit. One paper had spots on it but oh well. From Oct at Bighorn Dam spillway. Downstream from all the glacier work, upstream from Edmonton.

Testing some ways to do #cyanotype outdoors. Super excited to be heading to Svalbard with the Arctic Circle Residency in just over a week! Have now coated 78 sheets of paper and counting...

Hello! Posting older work as an intro, from 2023 at the Art Gallery of St Albert, Alberta, Canada. I work in printmaking, photo, and print adjacent media, large and small, focused on the headwaters, watersheds, and glaciers in the eastern slopes and out in the prairies to Edmonton (home).

This week in the studio I've been getting back to #cyanotype. Photo is work from last year, with the #etching a few weeks old but from same trip. (Takes longer to draw than to print negatives!) about #water, headwaters and impacts downstream.

A few more #watercolour experiments. Photos reference is from Saskatchewan glacier (remanents of a quickly melted ice cave, we did not go in as too unstable) and from Angel glacier and Cavell pond last year

Going through some recent work to frame and sort today. Thought I would share these #watercolour experiments, something I haven't done in years. Most are photos from various glacier trips but a few were done outdoors this Jan (trees).

I found #PrintPromptMonday today(Tues). Most of my work is a bit of a flipside to #InMotion though! So, I'm going to have to go with 'moving glacially' as my take on it ;)
#Etching of Saskatchewan Glacier and the dam at Bighorn it eventually goes to, eventually the source for water in Edmonton

Shown in Gallery 2 at Grand Forks last February. 'Currents' follows the north Saskatchewan River from Edmonton to the headwaters in Banff, at the Saskatchewan Glacier. All of that is impacted by the change in coal policy

Work in progress. Etching day! These are from the Saskatchewan glacee, one of the tributaries of the north Saskatchewan River along with Clearwater (a potential coal site)

Slowly starting to migrate over here from instragram. I'm an off and on again social media type, so that may take a while. These are some recent work from late August 2024...never made it onto social media before school prep started!
