The last of the dahlias remains an oasis for butterflies and moths. Planted larkspur, spiderwort, and milkweed for next spring’s Lepidoptera Lounge.

Still holding out hope that KOHYS-11 is still intact and functional. Possible reacquisition in the Azores or Canary Islands within 24-48 hrs if pulled along in the wake of Humberto and Imelda. 🤞🏻

Update on the pico balloon K0HYS-11. It is the third day since we lost its signal off the coast of Newfoundland heading on a southeasterly course at 38,000 feet and a speed of 153 mph. I think it’s possible that it has been pulled into Humberto or Imelda. We’ll see.

Pico balloon launch on Saturday. From here to Nebraska and then yesterday, 49 miles SW of Aberdeen SD, this morning the St.Lawrence Seaway in Quebec then south of Newfoundland a couple of hours ago and into the Atlantic. I’m hoping the Jet Stream picks it up and pushes it to Greenland.

Replacement launch lug standoffs run 2.45 a pop. These are much more robust than the factory version and cheaper.

Recent rocketry printing endeavors. Rocket stands to give away to the Boy Scout rocket class, BT-80 nose cone, and a breakaway launch lug. Thanks for looking.

Today’s rocketry activities. Yellow Jacket got a new heart and a chute piston. Reuse and repurpose a Buc-ees bag for a 12 inch chute and printed another BT-55 nose cone.

The X-7. I took some artistic license on the ramjet portion, but the SRBs I discovered, were part of the vehicle. I’m mildly surprised that despite all of junk hanging from it, that it’s stable.

A weekend of printing. Nose cones for a new camera rocket and for one I’m trying to design in Rocksim as the Lockheed X-7 Ramjet. Plus, an electable payload bay for a Candy Bomber rocket, tube cutting guide for BT-70, and 24mm motor retainers.
