"first 90% vs last 10%" ignores non-technical barriers (e.g. interconnection delays, Tx deficits, local opposition, etc) that speed-limit or cap progress. Next-gen geothermal and nuclear aren't just for the "last mile" - they manage these other risks and reduce fuel costs. Let's drop this 90/10 view

@volts.wtf Concerns relative to what? This linked study fails to mention key points: (1) the alternative to SMRs was 8.9 GW of wind, solar, AND storage AND Tx upgrades (assuming 1 GW 4-hr battery results in ~$18B CAD before Tx upgrades using IESO resource costs), and (2) IESO sited land constraints
