The weather is set to be "beautifully fine" at 6:00am tomorrow as in 1878. One year we were invited to to a May Morning breakfast in the Botanic Gardens across the road which was pretty wonderful.
Here is a short report on May morning in 1878. (The hymn was sung at 5am before the introduction of British Summer Time in 1916)
