Not sure exactly what you're after, but I like the squishy "disposable" ones that you squeeze and then let expand into place.
They seem to work just fine multiple times, and I can even wash them. Hence the quotes on "disposable".

You're right, there are no guarantees. However, I hear you can request data deletion, and that's probably worth doing. Log into your account and request that it be deleted through the "settings" menu.
