Sorry — I too am behind. 🫣

People magazine has already stated in their latest update that their son killed them. Say what you will about People, they rarely if ever seem to publish wrong info. They fact-check thoroughly.

I was driving around yesterday & was listening to the radio (I know — I’m old). “Golden” came on multiple times across different stations (a couple of top 40 stations and one adult contemporary). It is quite the 👂🐛!

For some reason this reminded me of this scene (IYKYK).

Progesterone can help.

Dealing with frozen shoulder now for almost 9 months. “Frozen” doesn’t begin to cover the intense pain or the inability to do normal tasks like grab a plate from a shelf.

Also, if you’re a cinephile you may want to check out the Music Box Theater, which shows lots of indie movies & has singalongs sometimes.

No Bears game? (I mean, it was an awful ending, but still a must-watch when they play the Pack.

Also nail salons for some reason.

Have you checked out any bookstores yet? Introvert heaven if you ask me.

So you’re an app hater too? 😉

Several years ago I read articles about the security vulnerabilities of many apps (esp those developed by small orgs) and now it takes a lot for me to download an app.

How can this possibly adhere to the Chicago tenant ordinance? Also, how do they think folks who need an elevator would move out?

Strong Floor No Ceiling is just begging for a whole SNL skit. It’s bad.

Understood! And the “By the people, for the people” message has so many possibilities. But my point was just that even changing one word in the MAGA phrase (to “work”) would be better than the proposed D slogan.
December 2, 2025 at 10:46 PM
I do not love the idea of building on or referring to the current R slogan, but even “Make America Work Again” would be better IMHO! It seems like a lot is broken in this country and that is a sentiment that likely crosses political divides.

Her own year of magical thinking must be over soon, right?
December 2, 2025 at 9:42 PM
How soon till we never hear any more about this person or their memoir? ⏳
December 2, 2025 at 9:40 PM
There is that too. But over the past year or so, the writing/content jobs that come across my LI feed & involve feeding the AI machine have increased by a lot. And folks who write are being bombarded w/the message that we *must* figure out how to harness AI for our work or get left behind.

How is AI *really* impacting jobs?

Henley Chiu, the CTO of Revealera, a jobs data analysis firm, analyzed 180 million jobs listings in 2024 and 2025, in an effort to find out. Chiu found an:

-8% drop in all jobs postings
-~30% drop in art, photography, writing jobs
-22% drop in journalism jobs
What’s really going on with AI and jobs?
Record-breaking layoff reports, Amazon's mass firings, and a slump in entry level employment. Is AI behind it all?
