Duluth North Shore was very good to me. I was able to see the last owl/raptor species I needed to see in the US. The Boreal Owl is not easy to find, but this year is an irruption year and there are many here. The Great Gray Owl was not a lifer, but it also is a great owl to see. #708 ABA

We received 5”+ of snow today and buckets more sparrows. I counted 72 White-throated Sparrows before dusk, and we had six Fox Sparrows today. Both those species numbers are way up from normal. White-crowned and Song were about normal numbers. Pretty epic day in McGaheysville VA!
