Literally same. Probably my biggest struggle as a parent.

E.g. I'll believe we hold up virginity for real as a positive and holy good when we start embracing Catholic women and men who are still unmarried for whatever reason into middle-age, fully into our communities.

...and keep pretending subjugation of women (however we want to dress it up linguistically) is good and holy

I would like it if we focused on the young girls who resisted being married off by those who held power over them.... But we (and by we I mean the general Catholic culture as it currently stands) are not prepared to hold that up as an example. We would rather focus on physical purity...
