For what it's worth, this review doesn't describe my experience at all. I thought it was a stunning and faithful (yet updated) expression of the novel. Where you saw "plodding", I saw "gothic".

I'm just sad they aren't ending the tour in Saskatoon. That seems like such a missed opportunity.

- What if the board members are wrong? Just because they want AI productivity gains doesn’t mean those gains exist.
- What if the AI “analysts” are wrong? Just because they voted something “better” doesn’t mean it actually was better.

An embarrassment of gaps and assumptions.

- Also, do we even know that boards are necessarily good governors? That’s certainly not an accepted premise in the nonprofit sector
- Why does it matter if the board is trumpeting “AI-based productivity gains”? The CEO should run the company as effectively as possible using the tools s/he chooses

- Is a test group of humans pretending to be a board a suitable proxy for a real-life board of directors?
- How do AI "members" retain and apply accumulated knowledge compared to humans over time?
- How would humans have performed if they received the same level of coaching/ prompting?

I’d love an option to watch it in English Football Mode, with more muted commentary like “You’ve got to do better there” and “That was a bit cynical”. Just to balance the rah rah that comes with the broadcaster owning the team.
