I see. So for devils advocate purposes - there's no conclusive evidence that it is reducing grey matter. Is there any evidence that it isn't reducing grey matter?

I'm no expert and I don't understand all of this, but is this a meta analysis showing that there is a reduction of grey matter, but that they 'need to understand the nature of grey matter differences better'?

I guess where my mind goes to... is that exercise increases grey matter volume. Therefore, it would make sense then to imagine that if you're sedentary for long periods and the only thing you move while you scroll is your thumb, then you won't be building new neurons and fluffy grey matter.
