No - part of the bill states that basically if they say it has “literary value” it will be protected. They will use that to say the Bible has literary value and is therefore exempt. They will also use it to say romance + erotica don’t have literary value and will be banned. If it passes.

This right here! Yes, some parts of BookTok, like many communities, have their issues. But there is also SO much diversity and inclusivity in the BookTok community.

There have been times when BookTok has been controversial and even problematic - but that does not mean BookTok as a whole is bad. It just means we need to keep working to improve and do better. And that is something a LOT of creators actively work to do! I don't see the reason for this much hate.

Yes, BookTok can be repetitive with popular titles - but there are also SO many wonderful diverse creators on BookTok, you just have to curate your fyp and work within the community to lift up those voices.
