There’s no way to know if this guy was “serious” or not... and I guess that’s the point. Fascism thrives when hate like this is normalized, excused or brushed off as a “joke.” Every salute, every slur makes our communities less safe.

This wasn’t just “road rage.” This was fascist intimidation - white supremacy out in the open, on our roads, trying to provoke & harass.

Here’s the truth:
Short stints aren’t a red flag - they’re often proof of courage. Courage to set boundaries, protect dignity, and walk away from inequity.

If you punish that, you’re shrinking both your talent pool and your values.

If your nonprofit - or any org that claims to exist for social good - judges short tenure as a “red flag,” you’re acting antithetically to your mission.

You’re replicating the inequities you claim to fight.

Ableism also shows up in screening. Disabled applicants are routinely filtered out by bias (including AI tools).

Nonprofits: you’re especially guilty here.
Staff inherit long-standing dysfunction, burnout, and impossible mandates... and then boards blame them for systemic failures.

Data check: The median U.S. worker has just 3.9 years with their current employer (shorter for women). Private-sector tenure is even lower.

Short stints are often survival. Leaving toxic culture, escaping pay inequity, refusing to inherit unsolvable problems.

Judging candidates without asking why is sexist, ableist, and classist.

Shutdowns aren’t abstract—they hit real people first. Federal workers, families, & communities pay the price while politicians argue over the blame.

Both sides are playing to their bases. But zoom out: Republicans control the House, Senate, & White House push on this.

💥They introduced a bill they knew couldn’t clear the Senate without compromise.💥

That makes the GOP’s claim that Democrats “caused” the shutdown… pretty disingenuous.
