(1/3) Here’s what actually happened: ASOS labeled my order DDP, but their DDP label doesn’t prepay duties. But, Asendia's DDP system expects prepaid customs paperwork, so they didn't generate a “pay now” link in the customs emails. Essentially, I got multiple customs emails with no way to pay.

I completely agree! I’ve noticed that in some developed societies, including North America, there seems to be a tendency for people to make assumptions about each other. Instead of asking for clarification, many tend to jump to conclusions. It makes me wonder what might be influencing this behavior!

I also unconsciously use this voice when I'm excitedly talking to my partner about various things. So, one could say they willingly chose to spend their life with someone who sounds like that most of the time. I must say, I'm surprised they haven't opted to wear earplugs full-time!

Very true. Speaking out, even if it's online is important. Now, there's a difference in the quality and intent behind the posts to think about. But as long as people are showing genuine concern and supporting each other I see nothing wrong with it! We need to build community in any way possible.

In these tumultuous times, one might say we’re engaged in a war where we must confront the urge to hide from the realities around us. I felt compelled to express myself, as I've been struggling with family and friends who discuss important issues without fully grasping the complexities involved.

Even though his poem is from the 20th century, reflecting a post-WWII existentialist mentality, it's timeless in its message about choosing to fight against the inevitable.

At first, I unintentionally drew inspiration from Dylan Thomas's powerful poem ‘Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night,’ but I found myself leaning deeper into it near the end. He was really on to something when he said, ‘Though wise men at their end know dark is right.’

Together, we will patch those holes and sail toward the bright future we were striving for before the "captains" took hold. We cannot allow them to push us onto a ship they've destroyed while they make off with the lifeboats!

Educating ourselves on all sides of an issue, advocating for what matters, and bravely discussing our beliefs is how we stay afloat.
