interesting note about Battletoads being added to the NES NSO app.

it seems the Japanese publishing rights to the game have finally reverted to Microsoft, previously it was published by Masaya, which was acquired by "extreme" in 2014.
they were doing their own re-releases for it as recently as 2021

from the 2020 Netflix documentary series "High Score". Rebecca Ann Heineman discusses her stint at winning the Atari 2600 Space Invaders championship in 1980, the first tournament of it's kind.

as well as how video games helped her deal with gender dysphoria.

more from the @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social library.
screenshots & box art of the unreleased "Warhammer 40,000: Dark Crusaders"

oddly the majority of images in the folder are mislabeled, actually being renders for the 1996 adventure game "9: The Last Resort"

since it doesn't seem to be in the @divine.video archives, now seems like a good time to reshare the highly mysterious video teasers Bethesda uploaded to Vine back in April 2013.

the Nintendo Store app wants me to know that i downloaded one of the EXTREMELY LATE Turbografx-16 Virtual Console releases on Wii U.

not only was this added months after the Switch launched, but Nintendo confirmed they were closing the Wii Shop Channel (it had an upgrade path) around the same time.
