🧵(6/8 ) Our most striking result is that larvae exposed to nitrate displayed diminished abilities to exhibit temperature-induced plasticity in metamorphosis timing and heat tolerance, as well as reduced acclimation capacity in heat tolerance.

🧵(5/8 ) Larvae exposed to elevated nitrate concentrations and thermal stress displayed increased metabolic rates but decreased developmental rate, highlighting interactive effects of these stressors. Nitrate pollution alone had no effect on metamorphic or physiological traits.

THRILLED🎉🤩 to finally announce that I have joined the Gomez-Mestre lab at @ebdonana.bsky.social today with a Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions fellowship🇪🇺! As part of the #msca project #amphistress, I will continue working on the dynamics of stress hormones in amphibians in stressful environments. 🐸🌡️🌎☀️

Leaving @tubraunschweig.bsky.social today: The past 4.5y have been wild and I couldn't be more excited for everything to come! Biggest thanks ever to Miguel Vences for all the field trips, the thousands of tadpoles, and most importantly, for your trust and support letting me build my own lab. 🐸
