I reused code from another project for the controls, but the tuning doesn’t translate well to such a short wheel base tank steering setup, needs some further work.

daylight is a TUI tool that tracks sunrise/sunset times in the terminal.

It uses lat/lng data or an IP address to know the sunrise/sunset times. It also has a ten-day projection table, offline mode & more.

Jimmy Breck-McKye made daylight using Charm & is Terminal Tool of the Week! ⭐️

I’m lazy enough to work 40+ hours to automate a daily 10 minute task lol. Current wip, my take on the Amazon locker for loaner devices at work.

After using the handheld for a week, I realized it’s really missing a gamepad. Doing some research I settled on a 3DS joystick that uses a sliding action and is less likely to get hung up when packed away. Mocking up the layout now before I print a new case.

My minimal handheld! Wanted to avoid scope creep and actually get something in hand before assuming going overboard. Currently rocking a pi3 with a 5 inch DSI display and a 22Wh battery (3.7v x 6ah) running Pi OS Lite #cyberdeck #handheld #doom

Dissected this Pi and removed the USB and Ethernet ports. Building a cyberdeck to use at work managing tech inventory :) Was able to recover a 6000mah battery from an old Chromebook.

The only reason I keep FB around is for marketplace, the algorithm knows my weaknesses better than my own family. I’m glad these are an hour away because I really don’t need them…

Salvaged the 4021 shift register from an OG NES controller used to read multiple button states with just three GPIO pins: latch, clock, and data. I know I know, why you ruin classic!?!? These things are awful in adult hands. Dog-bone controller ftw!

Board did not pass the door sensor test, I think I overcooked my shift register ic while desoldering it from another project. Future me is going to have to figure that out tomorrow.

Protoboard passed the servo test! Only one connector pinned backwards, but that’s a future me problem. It’s time to clock out!
