Very reassuring to someone the wrong side of 40 :) I always find cognitive discussions such a minefield: are we talking speed, volume of skills, breadth of knowledge, applied experience, ability to link concepts etc? If nothing else, it's a definitional issue as much as a neuroscience one!

100%. There was a piece in the FT this morning (on.ft.com/4jOs9WP) basically saying 'why haven't we changed how we think about gaming? It's a thing and people don't get it'. As a medium it's evolved to also make it easy to stay up to date not to mention often very high quality releases etc.
