The funding for special needs programs are on the chopping block and schools are not prepared. Especially schools in the red zones. Call your representatives and tell them how this will affect you. If for nothing else for you to hear them tell you, “This is what the people voted for”.

I wouldn’t have thought of this had I not talked to a proactive parent. If you have a special needs child get their IEPs done now! If you are due soon, don’t mess around. You might have to keep calling the powers that be but if you don’t have it in place now, you might not get another chance.
