I mean not from the sky but from her hands, absolutely. She created a hurricane over NYC to kill a sentinel. To my recollection, she’s never been afraid to use lightning because her control has always been that good. Alex was the one afraid of his own power.

Ororo has bonded w/ many who could provide the emotional core but only one named Rogue & of her closest, only Magneto has similar thematic resonance & symmetry: met as opponents, became close friends & in this story, end as opponents with their initial roles reversed. That isn’t her story w/ Betsy

Nah. Milligan & Allred did it way better. Russell also wrote these characters like he’d only read their Wiki pages. This was under researched, undercooked, and underwhelming. Time won’t change that.

Fair. I think Ewing & Gillen did fine carving out their own stories from Hickman’s threads until they were rushed to end them far sooner than planned. Percy, on the other hand, used a sledgehammer where Hickman was using a scalpel. X Lives/X Deaths is the greatest failure of the era for me

Nah, Immortal & Red are among the best X-books ever published. Sure, I expect Hickman’s story would’ve been better, but we got some gems from several creators not named Hickman.

So much of it is subtextual, and the mouth breathers complaining about are devoid of reading comprehension and media literacy. They need it spoon fed in a thought bubble or caption.
