Working from home coworker being useful as usual.

I think my manager was concerned when be told me to "finish up [what I was doing] ... And then relax" and I replied "lol relax. I haven't relaxed in months." At least I didn't tell him I have a "sports injury" in my jaw from clenching it too much. Stress is my only sport, and I'm good at it 🫤

My dentist does Botox now. Apparently it's helpful if you clench your jaw or grind your teeth. They didn't recommend it yet, but it will be hilarious if I end up getting Botox for a stress-induced jaw injury when I've held out against trying it cosmetically. Slippery slope that.

Last Fri I ran into a neighbor I sometimes chat with. He said something like "longest short week ever" & I stopped in my tracks; I'd already forgotten it was a 4 day week. I'd even taken an extra day off. Each week feels so long. Anyway here's a bird. A phainopepla, sometimes called a goth cardinal.

I can't avoid political news because it impacts my job, and I am going to scream. We've been told not to panic about our jobs (so far) but there is plenty of other mind bogglingly infuriating shit to be worried about.

The cats and I are here now. Now I just need to figure out what I want to follow and how to not get stuff I don't want to follow. Learning a whole new thing is a pain, but it's clearly time.
