Tell your dog hi!
Heading inside because I can't listen to my husband sing rainbow in the dark any longer. 😆

It's gorgeous out. This is just me shivering with my cell phone.

My husband sends me these taking the garbage out. They already died down by the time I got outside.

Here it is, an accurate interpretation of the Minnesota Ice Man... A sasquatch type creature frozen in ice and carted around the country on display. No, that's not a freezer full of meat behind him. Those are tomatoes. 😆

I made a big ol birdsnest out of grapevine. It's hot now, enough outside shenanigans.

We're all stuck on this ride. Be kind to yourself and others.

May I suggest this wonderful new book.

The Northern lights are out.

You know you're a Minnesotan if, at the first frost warning of the year, you pull out the pop-up fishhouse to cover your deck plants.

I have a monthly dinner with old coworker friends each month. This guy hung out, too.

Making up songs for my dogs.🎵 -I'm a little butthole short and stout. Here is my tail, and here is my snout. When I have get all steamed up, here me shout. B-ch, get up and off the couch...
Because Ursa is a loud, tantrum throwing nugget when she wants something. We're working on it.😂

Ended up spending the evening in the ER with my husband. He's fine, just an allergic reaction to a bee sting. Two epipens barely got him here. He said the sign on the ceiling is for me since I'm usually the accident prone one. Which is true.

Today would have been Astrid's 8th birthday. We tried so hard to keep her with us. She had mammary cancer and epilepsy. She had 3 surgeries and kept me company as I hobbled around on 1 foot. She was always happy to make new friends and had the wiggliest butt. She was the best, I miss her so much.

No cheating. Post the most recent pic you have of your pet(s).

Getting outside in between rain clouds.

I picked my first cucumber and radishes today! B cleared a path in the back through the wild raspberries. The bear will also appreciate it, I'm sure. However, an adorable little skunk was also seen. He won't let me befriend it. I named it Buddy.

We're going to have to take these two on an adventure this afternoon. They've been so good with the fireworks over the last few days. It's too hot for them to be out for very long. Good thing we have dog friendly local places with AC!

We just lost one small tree in last night's storm. Others, unfortunately, didn't fare so well. It's just hot and humid. Perfect weather to trigger migraines.

The trigger of always having dogs that were afraid of storms is real. I'm so thankful these two are sleeping soundly as the thunder beings roll through. Even if I'm not.

The world is horrible, but I was able to help two pups find their way home today! They were on the run since 6:30 this morning. We also live near a 43,000-acre wildlife refuge. So I'm glad Louis and Claude decided to stop by our place today. They escaped the dog sitters yard and went on an adventure

I found another volunteer! I think it came from my family's property in Long Prarie. Dumped in some soil. Guess I'll be moving that.

On the flip side, our yellow lady slippers are blooming.

I don't really need another, but Midwest peeps, Menards has EMF meters for 7$. The battery that came with it was dead, expired 2022. FYI.
May 30, 2025 at 12:42 AM
I was able to walk our path in the yard. It's been almost 2 years. I was injured last summer. It was so nice to get out this morning. Our yellow lady slippers are about to bloom, too.

We had a sneaky bear on our deck yesterday morning. It didn't trigger the ring camera, and we were gone. It crawled up the front of the deck, then pulled the humming bird feeder down, and broke a tree branch. Probably a small guy. I guess we'll have to go back to strapping the garbage can shut.
