I feel like inerrancy is but a symptom/outcome of a more fundamental process (i.e., it's the sacred/profane dichotomy that is rigidly applied that may lead to other problems if not correctly thought through). Or, I'm wrong.

My evangelical friends (without any self- awareness or critique) would blame "Marxist" or "Woke" ideology allegedly percolating in secular spaces for this.
