Opinions my own.
Vibe coding, staying up late and learning are what you’re supposed to do in your 40s right?

For the first time in a long time… I’m excited about the future.

So much to do. So much to learn.

My fiancé hasn’t watched The Mandalorian so I’ve decided to start saying “this is the way” in conversation often until we’ve caught up to that part of the show.

Software is having its fast fashion era right now. I wonder if there are lessons to be learned from the fashion industry about the path forward.

I want to see someone do the image recompression trick with the new OpenAI tool.

Make these people 10 years older. Then make a new image of them 10 years younger, etc.

I wonder what it looks like after a 1000 cycles!

Bought a Rivian a few months ago and while I want to love it… it’s just not there.

Software is inadequate and buggy, hardware is failing a ton, and service is months out from when issues occur.

Please make this better Rivian! I want you to succeed.

A US government that doesn’t support free speech is not following the idea of what it is to be American.

Was saddened to see a poor UI implementation from Netflix today.

Prompted to add my mobile number to account, and it didn’t work with iOS built in autofill for both the number and the text code afterward.

It’s a trend I’m seeing more of, poor implementations of seemingly basic functionality.

I feel bad about this:

Saw a bartender marrying two bottles of very high end liquor and reported it to him and the manager.

Did this away from everyone else, but it makes me feel guilty for getting the person in trouble.

Had the opportunity to make stories this weekend. It’s the best kind of therapy, how the world could be if…

Had this proposal a few years ago for a standardized set of features to be advertised as passing to domains from user-agents.

It’d be a yearly conformance list, and a user-agent could advertise it passed once it achieved all the results from the shared list.

const enums from typescript are frowned upon by so many, but I really don’t get why.

X.reason makes a lot of sense in code when it’s compiled to a result of `0`.

Rediscovery is one of humanity’s greatest gifts. Sometimes the second, third, or hundredth time something is discovered is when it applies true value at moving us all forward.

Jealousy due to rediscovery is also, funny enough, one of our worst traits.

Watched La La Land tonight for the first time and was blown away. So incredible and pulls on your heart in the ways only great movies can.

Highly recommend if you haven’t seen it.

Took a day off work to see my son’s first performance in school. Totally worth it.

Flying to Wisconsin right now and had what is best described as a bar hopping tour of LGA since the flight was so delayed.

Don’t recommend.

Finished a substantial refactor tonight and it didn’t work on the first try.

So disappointed. Maybe next time.

Big Saturday with the kids. School performance, skiing, christmas tree setup, and sushi for dinner.

Completely exhausted by 8:30!
