The Trevor Project confirmed they received notice on June 18, 2025, that SAMHSA would close the LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services effective July 17, and that since then, the 988 Lifeline no longer includes the “press 3”, “text PRIDE”, or chat options for LGBTQ youth callers.
