Bestselling author of THINGS WE DIDN'T SAY, REAL LIFE & LIARS and more. Latest is historical fiction about Broadway, VIVIAN IN RED. I like to run and read, but not at the same time. Rep: Carly Watters at P.S. Literary

Welcome (back) to the world, Vivian… my dual timeline historical fiction about Broadway, full of mystery, family drama and love

So gratifying to bring back this out-of-print novel myself. I’ve always been so proud of Viv and Milo and the whole cast

I’m no Cory Booker, but I did run my laps on the track this morning without headphones because the battery died 🏅

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

Meta stole so many of my books to train AI (all of them) the list can barely fit in a screenshot . They even stole a novella that I barely publicize because it’s almost impossible to find. We chumps have to follow rules and laws and the tech zillionaires do what they want.

Jason Isbell released the lyric "Last year was a sonofabitch/ for nearly everyone we know" in 2017 and it just... continues to ring true.

Odyssey of the Mind state finals! I filtered the daylights out of this photo. Coach life.

We are mostly seniors and this is our last year!

This was *so* fun. I forgot it was being broadcast and just acted like I was chatting with friends, so who knows what I said?

Saw a "Trump 2028" bumper sticker on a pickup truck today, so yeah, everything's going great, guys. Not ominous at all.

(Typed in the sarcasm font, in case that was not abundantly clear)

Welp, I’m out. When the gajillionaire regime-appeasing owner brings down the hammer on what opinions are allowed, I no longer trust the whole operation. Sorry to the good reporters doing their best. It’s not you.

(This movie is still phenomenal, one of the best depictions of newspapering on film)

The first five minutes of the new White Lotus freaked me out and I shut it off. That was not the darkly comic escapism I came for

Listening to DJT talk about kicking out all the Palestinians and drooling over Gaza being redeveloped into some kind of fancy property development is gross and appalling.

Not to mention gutting foreign aid. Which hurts people, and gives an opening to our adversaries which makes us less safe

95 percent sure I'm in the background of a fitness video today. She killed it and her outfit was super cute. I'll be the middle aged lady with dodgy knees, modifying the exercises, my unwashed hair spraying out of a claw clip and greenish dark circles under my eyes, visible directly behind her

Why did I wait so long to get to Epilogue Books in Rockford MI? It’s 20 miles away, not 200. Anyway, fixed that now #booksky

My lovely friend hosted me at her restaurant to celebrate the re-release of my 1930s historical fiction about Broadway, VIVIAN IN RED. A local real estate agency supported me by promoting the book with a giveaway, too. This might be my new favorite author photo #booksky

Asked for book recs on three platforms. Here, Threads and Insta Stories. I got two from Insta. From Threads...52, and they're still coming.

Here, I got one. Exactly one.

I *want* to expand beyond Meta and Zuck running everything, I really do...

It's early days. I'll keep it up at least for a bit
