Post-menopausal woman. Mostly salty but a little sweet. I’m here for the resistance and to fight for the future of democracy . Public education is my day job. Once upon a time I wrote romance novels. I even worked at McDonalds, but can’t prove it.
My attempt at an artistic photo. Christmas lights seen through the bottom of a stemless wine glass.

I’m making deserts for a cocktail party this weekend. So far I have chocolate truffles, Ted Lasso biscuits (shortbread) and what else would be simple enough to make but still elegant enough to wow. There will be about 25 of my husband’s high school friends/partners. Class of ‘87/88.

Let’s face it. That people chose a man with no morals, ethics, values or decency over a highly qualified woman (twice) is what destroyed the White House.

We could rebuild the East Wing, the Rose Garden and purge all his gaudy ornaments…but the stench of Donald Trump will persist for generations.

Two things I never see:
1. Jill Stein outside of a closely contested presidential election.
2. Someone saying Kamala supported genocide criticizing Republicans for actually supporting multiple genocides.

Kamala said "We're not going back" and a bunch of people decided "Nah, we actually do want to go back."

Not only was I horrified that he was re-elected, I was also horrified that we had to continue to hear his voice and see his disgusting face.

We were so close to being done with him.

To be clear, billions of our tax dollars are going to bailout the same farmers who overwhelmingly voted to harm themselves and their own livelihoods.

Is there a reason I changed the font on my current WIP? Why yes, yes there is.

It really annoys me that Trump or Karoline will lie about something and then an official government page will publish that quote as if it’s a source of truth

It’s December. I just killed a mosquito in my house. But tell me more about how climate change is a hoax.

I'll never understand how so many people got conned into hating the idea of universal healthcare.
Say you pay 20% more in taxes.
Your employer pays you more because no insurance.
You never see a doctor, lab or out of network specialist bill again.
You have a low copay for drugs.
Isn't that worth it?

When the publisher of a children’s book has to say please don’t use our IP to celebrate war crimes…

This administration is such a moral stain.

I wonder if all these people who are ‘friends’ with Trump realize that for the rest of their lives people will wonder if they are also in the files.

Oh no! My old Kobo e-reader died. Guess I’ll have to buy myself a new one for my birthday. That is one good thing about December birthdays, things you need are on sale.
