Pictured are two swords recovered from the river Forth by Stirling Bridge, Scotland. The one on the left in 1869, the one on the right in 1878. Both were used at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1296, William Wallace's major victory.
On Monday passed, I held the one on the right in my own hands. 😊

I've been too busy to draw these past three days. Not so my daughter (10) and my nephew (8).

Three attempts at quick sketches for Inktober. My 9-year-old nephew's, my 10-year-old daughter's, and my own. I much prefer theirs.

Necrotic Gnome's Dolmenwood has arrived. It's been 3.5 years since I backed the Patreon and then the Kickstarter. The filthy loot arrived today by Royal Mail. So chuffed. I even showed it all off to my wife.
I've done an unboxing video that I'll post up to my blog and link here.

Last night I went to La Belle Angele in Edinburgh with my brothers, to see Valtos. What an amazing gig. The Isle of Skye produces some of the very best Scots gaelic bands.

I've been constructive! The two raised beds in the picture were made from a deconstructed shed door. 5 planks, 3 cross pieces, 2 hinges, and 1 sliding bolt. Everything was either unscrewed or drilled out, then the wood sanded down, sawn to length, drilled, and screwed together. Pretty pleased.

My Dirtbags kickstarter arrived today. Core rulebook, character sheet pad, supporting zine, 3 x trifold adventures, 10 x double-sided pre-gen character cards, an embroidered patch, and stickers. Really chuffed to see my name in print for the first time. A superb brand new game by The Dungeon's Key.

Yesterday evening, I walked up one of my favourite hills, Traprain Law in East Lothian. I've always found it majestic and otherworldly.
The evening was crisp and clear. I had great views of the Lammermuir hills, Lothian plain, and across the Firth of Forth to Fife.

A couple of months before Halloween, my laddie asked me to build him a foam Stormtrooper helmet. I've never worked with EVA foam before, and so I was unsure of what was involved. I downloaded some paper templates and watched some YouTube videos. My laddie is pleased with the result. See for yourself
