Same here, sad to say. I'm in the shipping industry, and as a result I'm in Hamburg, and deal with Hamburg ship owners routinely. As soon City appointed him, I was warned; waste of transfer money, unable to get out of Bundesliga 2. All from SV fans who know their mustard. Of course, I duly hoped...

...defence, and sod-all up front. Surely to God Acun must have an idea, someone available, able to work with what he's got (at least for the next few weeks), with the capability to bring together a fanbase back onside that - sadly - seems to have lost its love-in with him.

Question is; do we trust the owner to get his replacement right? I'm no Rosenior fanboy at all - he did well, but ultimately didn't achieve what was expected. And some of the football was turgid. Now, whoever comes in, just has the same to deal with; a squad with too many midfielders, a porous...

...and some of his decisions were indeed baffling. But when you're given a remit to essentially transform a club, with tools you're given as opposed selected yourself, how can an immediate transformation take place?

I honestly feel for the fella. Recruitment was done during the summer without his input, he was tasked with implementing a entirely new playing culture/system. It was always going to be a bumpy road. Look at Slutsky; he got the chop, despite being asked the same.

He didn't help himself at times...

I just want it to click. We can all see tantalising hints as to what could be, and (maybe blindly) I think it'll take the merest of breaks...but bloody hell.
